Take a bite out of bullying.

Every October, the AAO acknowledges Orthodontic Health Month. Over the past few years, our 19,000 members have united during these four weeks to take a stand against bullying. The AAO challenges you and its 19,000 member orthodontists to come together in the fight against bullying. Orthodontists worldwide are taking a stand and encouraging their patients to do the same because we can all agree, #BullyingBites.

Each year, we partner with Stand For The Silent, the leading and most effective anti-bullying organization that aims to bring awareness to bullying and the real devastation it causes. To learn more about this incredible organization, click here.   

One in five children in America America aged 12 – 18 experiences bullying annually.

Of those bullied, teeth was ranked as the number one feature targeted, according to a study published by the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. In observance of Anti-Bullying Prevention Month and Orthodontic Health Month this October, the AAO challenges you to take a stand against bullying.
